Frequently Asked Questions
What does a loss assessor do?
A loss assessor is an independent claims professional who works for you, the policyholder. We review your policy, gather the evidence, prepare and cost your claim in full, and negotiate with your insurer and their loss adjuster so you get a fair settlement without having to fight the claim alone.
What is the difference between a loss assessor and a loss adjuster?
A loss adjuster is appointed and paid by your insurance company to assess the claim on its behalf. A loss assessor, like Sabre Assessing, acts only for the policyholder and never for insurers. Read our guide to the difference.
What types of insurance claims do you handle?
We manage fire, flood, storm, escape of water, subsidence, impact and burglary claims for homeowners, landlords and businesses, and we support managing agents and insurance brokers with property claims.
When should I contact Sabre Assessing?
As early as possible, ideally before you agree any settlement with your insurer. The sooner we are involved, the easier it is to protect your property, gather evidence and present your claim properly. We can also help if your claim has stalled, been reduced or been declined.
How much does it cost to use a claims management service?
It depends on the size and type of claim. Our guide on whether claims management services are free explains how fees usually work. Call us on 0330 165 3545 to talk through your claim.
Do you work with managing agents and brokers?
Yes. We provide claims support for managing agents, from the first call through to settlement, with clear updates you can share with leaseholders, and we work alongside brokers to take the strain of property claims off their clients.
